Well, I got my new dog! Her name's Isis, and she's a year and a half. She's real sweet at home, tho she is a bit protective.. ^^; We've had her for 2 weeks now. She was abused and neglected at her last two homes, so it's hard to discipline her when she pees all over the carpet when she gets excited --; But she's learning, and getting more and more used to us every day! ^_^ She's getting spayed today so hopefully it'll help with her personality a bit.. ^^;
Can you believe my comp's STILL down? >:/ ugh... at least I got PSP back on this comp.. --;
I don't think Nicky's gonna be around much longer.. The cancer's starting to spread and his paw and wrist are all swollen now.. He's kinda stubborn tho.. he refuses to walk on three legs.. He's such a fighter. <3 ^^ I hope he'll at least make it to Christmas, but deep down I have a feeling he won't. *sigh* Cancer sucks. -_-

Me and Flaky were walked down the streets of my old neighborhood, when we saw a few earthworms wiggling on the sidewalk. We decided to go look for more earthworms, and I told Flaky that the house down the street was abandoned, and the back yard would be a good place to look since people dumped their trash there a lot. She said okay, and we went to the side fence (the one everyone always used to sneak into the yard). We saw an old teacher and his sub, and we told them what we were doing. They said it should be fine, since no*one ever really looks in the back yard, but followed us back there anyway, I guess to keep us company. Flaky went to the back fence (where all the junk was thrown) and started rooting through and moving junk around.. mostly old clothes and bags. I did the same until I found a huge cd rack... actually filled with good cds.. (PPG..? Fushigi Yuugi..? o_O; )I was about to take a few for myself when a thug ( I use the term very loosely ;P ) and his dog jumped the fence (the one we used to sneak into the yard), and yelled at me that those were his cds (..why he had anime cds.. I'll never know x_x; ). I said "sorry" and just continued to look through them. Flaky moved to the other side of the yard, where the junk piles were even larger than before. She was about to move something when she looked to me and said "..go get someone.. I have a bad feeling about this.." (strange, considering the thug and teachers were still there x_o; ) I said "okay", and jumped the fence and walked down to the corner of the block. I passed a few statues sitting out on the sidewalk with price tags on them, and a lady walked out of the church that was on the corner and started to ask me if I wanted to buy one. I was about to ask her to come with me to the back yard, when I saw Scotty. I grabbed him instead and told him what was going on. He followed me back to the yard, bringing two of his friends with him. They tossed a ball around (I think it was a football..) while I continued to look through the cds. After a while, Flaky called my name and I went over to her. She picked up something large that was all wrapped up in dirty blankets and set it on the picnic table (... that wasn't there 10 seconds before.. it just magically appeared) and started to unwrap it. It was a large brown and white Basset Hound, and I freaked out wondering who could do such a thing to a dog. He had a large gaping wound by his leg, and his fur was covered with dirt and blood. Suddenly, the dog moved a bit and looked up at me, while trying to sit up. We were all like "OMG he's still alive!" He got up and started to wander around the yard in a daze (btw, I dunno HOW Flaky picked up the dog in the blankets so easily.. he had to have been at least 70 lbs.. >>; ). I watched him a bit, along with everyone else. After a minute or two I noticed something on his face between his eyes. I said "There's stitching or staples or something on his face.." and looked a bit closer. It wasn't stitches.. it was a zipper. "Who the HELL would put a zipper on a dog?!?" I got in close to his face and felt the zipper, just to make sure I wasn't just imagining that it was there, and pulled on it a bit. I pulled a bit too hard, and the zipper came undone, all the way to the back of his head, exposing his brains (.....yes, that's right. he had no skull.. ....shut up.). Everyone screamed and freaked out while the dog looked at all of us as if to say "wtf is wrong with all of you?". I reached over and grabbed the zipper, trying to pull on it to close up his head, but it was stuck. Everyone was running around panicking... and then I woke up.
The end.
I am seriously disturbed by my imagination. o_O;

This has been the BEST weekend! ^___^
Some woman from my mom's work has been trying to get her to bring home this dog that someone needs a home for. Mom says it's a border collie, but she doesn't know much else about it, besides the fact that it gets along with other dogs. Me and mom are trying to talk my dad into at least bringing it home for a night or two to see how it acts with Nicky. I hope we can ihopeihope ^o^
I'm getting a Playstation! WHOO! Flaky said I can have hers! I can't have her games tho, but that's okay. I'll get some cheap old ones at KBToys or offa Ebay ^^ Hopefully I can save up for a GCN soon too ^__^

Ohk, so I'm on my dad's comp YET again. We had a major power outtage that went to, like, 150 houses. And it fried my keyboard. Again. So me and my dad went and got a new keyboard (not a crappy Radioshack Compaq POC, but a nice Logitech one) and while we were there, we got me 128MB of SDRAM! W00T! Ohk so everything was going great, we came home, put in the RAM, attached my new keyboard... and the monitor wouldn't work. Not while connected to the tower, at least. When disconnected the monitor came back on saying that it wasn't attached. Duh. >:/ *sigh* So we went and got me a new video card, and that didn't work either, monitor's still not working. Works fine attached to my dad's comp, but not mine. So I'm on this reformatted comp, with a crappy grainy not-many-colors flatscreen monitor, a better modem than mine, and no paint programs or mp3s in sight. ><; At least I can get online.
Ohk, I can't believe this is still bugging me, but Morg made me mad a few days ago. Amy was asking if anyone was a vet cuz she was wondering what could be wrong with her dog. I said I was a vet assistant and started saying a few things that could be wrong, along with a few other people. As usual, no*one payed much attention so me and I got frustrated and was all "FINE IGNORE ME ._.;" and Morg was all "Listen to Alyson. She obviously knows more than any of us."
UGH. Fine. I only work with a veterinarian 5 days a week. I don't know anything. Never mind I even said anything. Why do I even try? -_-;

Today didn't go too well.. Dr Eaton's sister died, so he's leaving till Monday. And normally I'd be happy that he'd be gone. But Nicky's leg's been bothering him since last night, and it's swollen more, and I can't even take him to work tomorrow cuz I don't even think we'll have a relief vet. And we can't take him to the emergency hospital cuz we don't have the money. He's been shaking and limping and yelping all night.. I just had to pick him up so he could lay in the bed with my mom. He couldn't even jump up there.. he just... stood there.. staring at mom laying in bed :/ I -so- hope the cancer's not invading.. ._.

Stupid people day #2!!! ^__^ This one lady came in earlier, and she was gonna get some flea stuff for her dog tomorrow. We said okay, and she left. An hour later she came back, the chihuahua in her arms. Her retarded son(I'm guessing he's retarded.. he might be learning disabled or SOMETHING, i dunno..) had thrown the dog out the door while she was gone. The child was, like, 8 years old. Charlie (the dog) had a MAJOR broken leg (it was just dangling there.. the pup's not even 4 months old yet ;_; ), and I think his shoulder popped out of the socket. ( I didna get a chance to look at the xrays.. ^^; ) Ohk people. If you have a retarded child, you do NOT give them a pet they can easily pick up, if you get them a pet at ALL.. --; Ugh.

Today utterly sucked. I woke up at 8, and they called me in to work. I wasn't supposed to work this morning. :/
Anyway, I get there and we get an emergency; a cat having convulsions. Ohk people, if you have a cat, and see a flea and tick medicine for DOGS OVER 60 POUNDS, and there's a label in bright yellow letters at the top of the package that says DO NOT APPLY TO CATS, would you put it on your cat? This owner did. What wonderful people we have in society. ^_^ Then, about two hours later, we got a call from the owner. They had gone home and applied the same stuff to their OTHER cat, who was now showing the same signs as the first cat. I swear. I hate stupid people >:/
I was in a huuuge fight with Ramon. Again. But we made up. Again. *sigh* I just know I'mma hate myself later for this.. >< But it was making my other friends all pissy at me, so I figured I'd make friends with Ramon before my friends decided not to be my friends anymore :|
I got my nails done today too. a pretty pink shade. ^-^ But there's this one hairdresser there that kinda scares me. He's in "transition" from male to female. He wears skirts and has his hair all up nicely and wears like 10 pounds of makeup, but he walks and talks like a man, and hasn't gotten any surgery yet. It's kinda scary, but I kept laughing every time he walked by.. I couldn't help it.. ^^;
